Domain Expiration Date

If this date passes and the domain is not renewed then it will cease to exist. Any website using this domain name will become inaccessible. There is usually a grace period during which the domain can be renewed, possibly with a penalty fee. After this grace period, the domain name will become available for someone else to register.

When registering or renewing a domain name, it should be possible to purchase an extension of several years, often at a discount. ValidBot recommends extending the expiration date by as long as practical to make sure it does not accidentally expire. We also recommend turning the "auto-renew" option on, as another failsafe.

When a domain name is going to expire within the next 6 months, this test will display a warning.
